2021 Greek Independence Day

On Saturday, March 20th, the city of Nashua celebrated the Bicentennial of Greek Independence. The joint effort was carried out by St. Philip the Apostle Greek Orthodox Church and the local AHEPA Chapter. We appreciate the support and recognition of Nashua Mayor Jim Donchess at this monumental event.

The day began with a memorial service at the Hellenic Circle, after which everyone proceeded to City Hall. There, Thanasi Liakos presented a reflection on the history and importance of the Greek Revolution, Mayor Donchess read the Mayoral Proclamation, and the Greek Flag was raised to the singing of both Greek and American national anthems. ΖΗΤΩ Η ΕΛΛΑΔΑ!
